Dr. Kamel Best African ICT Minister

Dr. Tarek Kamel, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, was awarded by the NEPAD "Top minister in Africa with an ICT portfolio" for the year 2005 and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology was awarded by the SITA " Top public sector department embracing ICT in Africa" for the year 2005.

The South African Ministry of Communications organized a celebration where Ambassador Hagar Islambouly, the Egyptian ambassador to South Africa, received the award on behalf of Dr. Kamel. The celebration was organized in collaboration with CIT companies.
